The training emphasizes the balance between top-down information (20% maximum) and collective co-construction, and provides practical tools to optimize the effectiveness of meetings. It is aimed at anyone wishing to improve the facilitation and participation of meetings, whether face-to-face or virtual.

Training Objectives

In this online course, you will learn how to:

  • Use meetings (whether in-person or virtual) as tools for cohesion and performance.
  • Assess if a meeting is necessary to boost motivation and performance, or opt for other communication mediums.
  • Stop postponing or canceling essential meetings (especially team meetings).
  • Save time and avoid oversights by smartly conveying information during meetings.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and collective thinking in favor of change during meetings.
  • Develop a joint action plan at the end of meetings.

Target Audience 

Anyone in a situation of conducting or participating in meetings.

  • Identify your personal challenges and motivations for change.

SHAKING UP

  • The benefits of meeting vs. email/chat/phone: exchange of ideas, clarity of communication, nonverbal language, building relationships, accountability.

LEARN

  • Expert video: The benefits of a meeting, 4'31 – Presentation of meetings as levers of cohesion, intelligence and performance. Analysis of the objectives and benefits of meetings.
  • Quiz on evaluating a successful meeting.
  • TRUE/FALSE on good meeting practices.

ANCHOR

  • Informing or co-constructing: limit top-down information to 20%, focus on collective reflection.
  • Use concrete examples to define your own commitment to change.
