​Microsoft Planner is the visual planning tool integrated with Microsoft 365: it lets you structure your projects into Kanban boards, switch to Grid, Schedule or Charts views, and track the team’s progress wherever you are. Accessible via the browser, Teams or the mobile app, Planner provides a lightweight alternative to Microsoft Project for simple to intermediate team projects. 

Training Objectives 

By the end of this training, you will able to :

• Understand when and why to choose Planner rather than a spreadsheet or Project  
• Access planner from the web, the Teams application and on your mobile to create your first plan 
• Customize a plan: buckets, tasks, labels, checklists and attachments  
• Organize and filter tasks, leverage Grid, Schedule and Charts views for impactful visual tracking 
• Synchronize tasks with Outlook, collaborate in Teams and duplicate plans to accelerate your future projects 

Prerequisite and Target Audience 

​Target audience: Users of Microsoft 365 who want to manage team projects without undue complexity. 
​Starting Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: No prior knowledge of Planner; a basic familiarity with the Microsoft 365 environment is a plus
