the company Matif stood out as a giant in the industry.

However,
00:00:07
the winds of COVID had blown a certain enthusiasm for remote work.
00:00:12
Martin,
00:00:12
the visionary CEO,
00:00:14
knew that Matif had to reinvent itself.
00:00:17
He envisaged a radical change shifting to 100% remote work for those who desired it.
00:00:23
He had read the works of John Cotter,
00:00:25
who asserted that 70% of company organizational transformations fail
00:00:30
due to a lack of comprehensive and structured approach.
00:00:34
He was thus inspired by Cotter's eight-step
00:00:36
method to lead this significant transition.
00:00:39
Martin began by instilling a sense of urgency,
00:00:42
showing that the trust,
00:00:44
which had been the company's flagship value for 10 years,
00:00:47
was incompatible with an obligation of on-site work.
00:00:50
He showed figures that proved young talents were
00:00:53
increasingly less attracted to a provincial life.
00:00:56
He then formed a powerful coalition of 6 people
00:01:00
representing the main departments with a common essential quality,
00:01:03
being attentive to the field.
00:01:05
They got to work creating an enticing vision of the future,
00:01:09
a flexible motif adapted to the demands of the 21st century.
00:01:13
Communication was key.
00:01:15
The vision was shared through online seminars,
00:01:18
newsletters,
00:01:19
instilling excitement and dispelling fears.
00:01:22
Martin knew that words had to be followed by actions.
00:01:26
Workshops were set up to facilitate the transition,
00:01:29
solve problems,
00:01:30
and collect feedback.
00:01:31
The first successes were not long in coming.
00:01:34
Teams shared their victories big and small
00:01:36
on the company's new communication platform.
00:01:39
Photos of homework stations,
00:01:40
lively Zoom meetings,
00:01:42
everything was celebrated.
00:01:44
Over time,
00:01:45
the initial successes were consolidated.
00:01:48
The benefits of remote work were evident increased productivity,
00:01:51
improved work-life balance,
00:01:53
and a reduced carbon footprint.
00:01:55
Martin made sure to anchor each victory in the company culture,
00:01:59
updating policies and celebrating successes.
00:02:03
The transformation was a resounding success.
00:02:07
Matif was no longer just a traditional company.
00:02:09
It had become a symbol of adaptability and innovation,
00:02:13
and at the heart of this success story was Cotter's methodology,
00:02:17
which enabled the successful transition to more freedom and trust.
