00:00:06

is particularly adapted to people in motivants 3

00:00:10

who are competent but not motivated for this task.

00:00:14

You will be dealing with a person who knows how to do a task

00:00:18

but has no desire or no longer has any desire to do it.

00:00:22

If these non-motivating tasks exceed 20% of their mission,

00:00:26

it's time to react.

00:00:28

Indeed,

00:00:29

this lack of motivation will probably result in

00:00:32

a qualitative or quantitative decline in their work.

00:00:36

First of all,

00:00:37

understand why your competent employee's motivation is low

00:00:41

and why they are reluctant to act.

00:00:44

Are they tired of the task?

00:00:46

Maybe it can be delegated to another team member.

00:00:50

Do they want to do it their own way?

00:00:52

Do they not believe in their competence?

00:00:55

For example,

00:00:56

they have done similar tasks on other files.

00:00:59

You know they are competent,

00:01:00

and yet

00:01:01

they are afraid they don't know how to do this particular task.

00:01:06

Are they afraid to take the initiative

00:01:09

at this stage?

00:01:10

The manager must let go of the technical part and focus more on the person.

00:01:15

How can this be done

00:01:17

through consultation and empowerment

00:01:20

by involving the person in the decision and making them feel responsible

00:01:26

so you will provoke their desire to act in their own way,

00:01:30

allowing them the choice of how to do it.

00:01:34

Another way to push a competent and not motivated person to get into action.

00:01:39

By really taking the time for the exchange,

00:01:42

they will feel more concerned,

00:01:44

ask their opinion,

00:01:46

accept their suggestions,

00:01:47

negotiate with them their own objectives,

00:01:50

and decide their deadlines.

00:01:53

How to motivate people in motivants 3.

00:01:57

Push them to contact by multiplying opportunities to work with you or with

00:02:02

the team members in a healthy communication and in a participatory mode.

00:02:07

Everywhere they can contribute with their expertise,

00:02:11

define with them how you will follow up on the action plan they have established

00:02:16

and offer them your support if necessary.

00:02:19

In short,

00:02:20

motivating motivants three employees will be

00:02:23

achieved through empowerment and teamwork.

00:02:27

Their mobilization will require the manager's commitment to dialogue

00:02:31

in order to create a relationship between competent people and competent people.

00:02:37

The golden question to trigger their commitment to an action

00:02:41

that they are reluctant to carry out is

00:02:44

how in your opinion,

00:02:47

how in your opinion

00:02:49

can we convince the client?

00:02:51

How in your opinion

00:02:53

can we increase the quality of the product?

00:02:55

How in your opinion can we improve reporting?

00:02:59

The how in your opinion addresses the competence of the

00:03:03

employee and makes them define motivating actions suggested by them.

00:03:08

Having the employee in motivants 3 find

00:03:11

solutions and define the action plan themselves,

00:03:14

you will avoid the yes but kind of resistance to your suggestions.

00:03:19

In addition,

00:03:20

they will certainly find new solutions that they have not yet experienced

00:03:24

and that will avoid routine and fatigue.
