00:00:05

began at the end of 2014,

00:00:08

led by Pascal de Merger,

00:00:09

the CEO.

00:00:11

Facing major challenges,

00:00:12

the company chose to reorganize its

00:00:14

network and implement trust-based management.

00:00:18

The first steps towards this transformation took place

00:00:21

at a seminar in Poitier in December 2014,

00:00:24

where the guest speaker,

00:00:25

Isaac Goetz challenged MyF's top 200 managers on their management style.

00:00:31

He bluntly asked,

00:00:32

how does an organization like yours turn intelligent,

00:00:36

energetic,

00:00:36

and spirited people into demotivated individuals?

00:00:41

Isaac Goetz planted the first seed of

00:00:43

the necessary questioning to embrace trust-based management.

00:00:47

The real momentum was given at a seminar in La Rochelle in May 2015

00:00:52

titled

00:00:53

Dare to Lead with Trust-based Management.

00:00:56

The company's 700 managers gathered,

00:00:59

and the new vision of management was introduced.

00:01:02

It was an incredible moment,

00:01:03

enthused Pascal de Merger.

00:01:05

I never thought this was possible.

00:01:08

The transformation towards trust-based management initiated that

00:01:12

day had a resounding impact on everyone,

00:01:15

as the CEO stated.

00:01:17

For non-manageial staff,

00:01:18

there are only benefits.

00:01:20

They are given more leeway,

00:01:22

allowed more initiative,

00:01:23

granted more freedom in organizing their work,

00:01:26

listened to more,

00:01:27

and involved more.

00:01:29

We want to make the workplace a place of fulfillment.

00:01:33

Naturally,

00:01:33

95% of people find their place.

00:01:37

The transformation is not without challenges,

00:01:40

particularly for managers who must adapt to a new role and for

00:01:43

trade unions who must find their place in this new paradigm.

00:01:47

However,

00:01:48

the company continued its journey towards trust-based management.

00:01:52

This transformation led to a notable improvement on

00:01:55

the satisfaction of the 7000 employees and clients.

00:01:59

Pascal de Merger reports.

00:02:01

Our absenteeism rate has decreased by

00:02:04

25% since we implemented trust-based management,

00:02:08

and I regularly receive testimonials of pride from our employees.

00:02:13

Demerger adds from a commercial standpoint,

00:02:16

the number one goal is to serve the client's interest

00:02:19

even at the expense of the company's short-term interest.

00:02:23

Practically this means a naive adviser will guide you to

00:02:26

a less expensive contract because it will cover your need

00:02:29

or recommend closing an unnecessary contract.

00:02:33

Ultimately this translates into an incomparable satisfaction and loyalty

00:02:37

rate of our members compared to market figures.

00:02:41

Trust-based management at MaIF carries the gene of its own evolution.

00:02:45

In July 2020,

00:02:47

Trust took a further step.

00:02:48

Mai made teleworking possible for 100% of employees except for specific jobs.

00:02:55

The agreement was signed unanimously.
