who are not competent but are motivated by the task at hand.
00:00:13
You will be faced with people who are quite energetic and enthusiastic.
00:00:17
They will want to understand and will ask for
00:00:19
instructions on the tasks that they have not mastered.
00:00:22
They want to improve,
00:00:24
move forward.
00:00:25
It could also be people that have only just started a job.
00:00:28
Pay attention.
00:00:30
Some people in motivants do,
00:00:31
do a lot of work and yet are ineffective.
00:00:35
They don't dare to speak up about their lack of knowledge or even worse,
00:00:39
they are unaware of their incompetence.
00:00:42
Your challenge as a manager will be to continue motivating the team member,
00:00:47
all while increasing their competence,
00:00:50
at least on the tasks involved.
00:00:53
Just like in Motivants one,
00:00:55
you will need to spend time with them to form an action plan,
00:00:59
instruct them on how to do so,
00:01:01
and closely follow their achievements.
00:01:04
You will also need to invest time in passing
00:01:07
on your know-how or allowing colleagues to do so.
00:01:10
I invite you,
00:01:12
one,
00:01:12
provide explanations on the reasoning behind these objectives and methods,
00:01:18
these challenges and purpose.
00:01:20
2,
00:01:21
take time for discussion,
00:01:23
affirm your convictions,
00:01:25
make sure they understand,
00:01:26
answer their questions.
00:01:29
3
00:01:30
celebrate their successes and allow them to reproduce them
00:01:33
in order to develop autonomy and in order to help
00:01:36
them use their own experience as a learning tool.
00:01:40
Yes,
00:01:40
the explicative method requires time as it is not solely focused on the task at hand,
00:01:46
but also on the person who is willing and motivated to improve themselves.
