was led by Mister Pahued,

00:00:06

a manager both enthusiastic and completely disconnected

00:00:10

from the fundamental rules of situational management.

00:00:14

Paul,

00:00:15

his newly hired collaborator,

00:00:16

clearly struggled to follow instructions.

00:00:19

In addition,

00:00:20

he seemed to have the motivation of a hibernating turtle.

00:00:24

Rather than guiding him,

00:00:25

Mister Pahu had simply told him,

00:00:27

Ah,

00:00:28

Paul,

00:00:29

do as you feel.

00:00:29

I leave you complete autonomy.

00:00:32

Paul,

00:00:33

taking this literally,

00:00:34

spent his days playing solitaire on his computer,

00:00:37

patiently waiting for the end of month pay.

00:00:40

Then there was Julia,

00:00:41

a competent employee,

00:00:42

but who seemed to have lost her spark recently.

00:00:45

One day she handed in a report 24 hours late.

00:00:49

Mr.

00:00:49

parachuted,

00:00:50

frowning,

00:00:51

vehemently reprimanded her without seeking to understand her delay.

00:00:55

He wanted to shake her up to get her back on track.

00:00:58

This is what happens when you don't respect deadlines,

00:01:01

Julia,

00:01:01

he exclaimed,

00:01:03

completely ignoring her years of expertise.

00:01:06

Lucas had the motivation of a marathon runner,

00:01:09

but clearly lacked skills.

00:01:11

Instead of guiding him,

00:01:12

Mister Parachuid gave him a stack of files with a simple Do your best.

00:01:16

I believe in you.

00:01:18

You can do it.

00:01:19

Lucas,

00:01:20

wanting to do well,

00:01:21

took his chances,

00:01:22

but his lack of competence and knowledge on the subject created monumental chaos.

00:01:28

And then there was Elsa,

00:01:29

brilliant and passionate.

00:01:31

Instead of trusting her,

00:01:33

Mister Parachuteid spent his days behind her,

00:01:35

scrutinizing every mouse click,

00:01:37

pointing out her hours,

00:01:39

and even suggesting the color of the charts for her board presentations.

00:01:43

Elsa,

00:01:44

suffocated by this micromanagement.

00:01:46

Began to dream of escapes where her talents and skills would be honored.

00:01:51

At a farewell party

00:01:53

they were often at Eniva strangely,

00:01:55

the employees toasted in honor of Mister Pahued,

00:01:58

this manager ignorant of situational management

00:02:01

whose mismatched methods created employee turnover.
