00:00:03

everyone was seated around a sleek large table.

00:00:06

The computers gleamed.

00:00:08

The agenda was clear,

00:00:09

and the air was scented with a gentle pine fragrance.

00:00:13

Julian,

00:00:14

the super project manager,

00:00:15

had orchestrated the perfect meeting.

00:00:18

He'd chosen the ideal location,

00:00:20

the right people,

00:00:21

not too many,

00:00:22

defined the stakes,

00:00:23

the objectives.

00:00:25

The agenda was detailed,

00:00:26

information to be conveyed,

00:00:28

topics to discuss,

00:00:29

decisions to make,

00:00:30

work to distribute.

00:00:32

Everything was ready,

00:00:34

but as the meeting began,

00:00:35

one could feel a glacial cold more intense than the air conditioning set at 68

00:00:41

°F.

00:00:42

Julian was as tense as a guitar string.

00:00:45

His hands were sweaty,

00:00:46

his gaze evasive,

00:00:48

and even though his PowerPoint slides were worthy of a design award,

00:00:52

his interaction with the team was more like

00:00:54

a clumsy dance than a harmonious symphony.

00:00:58

He seemed like a well-oiled robot that stress rendered inoperative.

00:01:03

From the start,

00:01:04

perplexed looks were exchanged among the participants.

00:01:07

Despite the impeccable organization,

00:01:10

things were not going smoothly.

00:01:12

A palpable tension filled the room.

00:01:14

Like a note of discordant music.

00:01:16

Why was Julian so stressed despite his perfect preparation

00:01:21

during the coffee break,

00:01:22

the insightful Marie pulled him aside.

00:01:25

Julian,

00:01:26

you've organized everything perfectly,

00:01:28

but do you know what's missing?

00:01:30

I think I lack self-confidence,

00:01:32

he replied.

00:01:34

Yes,

00:01:34

partly,

00:01:35

but that's not the most missing thing.

00:01:37

It's your lack of trust in the team that's creating the most stress,

00:01:42

your lack of confidence in us,

00:01:44

and even your lack of connection with us.

00:01:46

You're like a chef who has the best recipe and the best ingredients,

00:01:50

but who refuses to touch them and doesn't believe in them.

00:01:54

Julian realized that despite all the preparation,

00:01:57

trust,

00:01:58

and closeness towards the team were the missing ingredients.

00:02:02

Technique alone is not enough.

00:02:04

The human element is at the heart of the project.

00:02:07

Without love and trust,

00:02:09

even the most perfectly prepared meeting

00:02:11

can turn sour.
