Paul meticulously checks his agenda.

00:00:05

Every task for his day is scheduled,

00:00:07

including cleverly spaced pomodoro breaks.

00:00:10

With the help of chat GPT,

00:00:12

every minute of my day is perfectly planned,

00:00:15

he thinks to himself,

00:00:16

smiling,

00:00:17

satisfied with his efficiency.

00:00:20

His time management app reminds him of his next action.

00:00:23

And he embarks on its execution with zeal.

00:00:26

His boss often praises him for his rigor and unwavering efficiency.

00:00:31

Paul is confident that a raise will soon reward his hard work.

00:00:35

At the other end of the corridor.

00:00:37

Alan closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

00:00:41

A few months ago he attended a time management training based

00:00:46

on the Eisenhower method which transformed his view of work.

00:00:50

He discovered the four quadrants.

00:00:52

The important and urgent quadrant used to focus

00:00:55

all his attention and fill his agenda.

00:00:58

After this training,

00:00:59

he chose to focus more on the quadrant of important but not urgent tasks,

00:01:04

taking care to integrate them into his schedule.

00:01:07

For him

00:01:08

it was essential to

00:01:09

reserve moments dedicated to reflection such as preparing his meetings,

00:01:15

set aside time to develop strategies to think about

00:01:18

more appropriate ways to proactively meet clients' needs.

00:01:22

Plan periods devoted to innovation,

00:01:24

whether through competitive intelligence or by giving free

00:01:27

rein to his imagination for product improvement.

00:01:31

These scheduled times of reflection,

00:01:33

strategy,

00:01:33

and innovation bore fruit.

00:01:36

His colleagues are impressed by his proactivity in work meetings,

00:01:39

his management grateful for the suggested improvements.

00:01:43

Weeks pass.

00:01:44

Paul continues to tick off his tasks one by one

00:01:47

with the satisfaction of a job well done.

00:01:51

Alan meanwhile engages in deeper discussions

00:01:54

proposing solutions before problems even arise

00:01:58

during the annual review,

00:02:00

while Paul eagerly awaits the announcement of his raise,

00:02:03

Allan is surprised and honored to receive a promotion.

00:02:07

Paul's efficiency is undeniable,

00:02:10

but the time Alan has planned for reflection,

00:02:13

strategy,

00:02:13

and innovation has changed the game.

00:02:16

Intrigued by Alan's promotion,

00:02:18

Paul decides to expand his own vision of planning.
