Using Microsoft Copilot in the debriefing

00:00:07

of job interviews transforms the

00:00:09

analysis of applications by helping you

00:00:11

assess candidates skills and personalities,

00:00:13

thus facilitating your recruitment

00:00:15

processes while keeping you in

00:00:18

control of the final decision.

00:00:20

In this tutorial,

00:00:21

our candidate Julie has completed a

00:00:23

remote interview transcribed by Copilot.

00:00:26

I need to synthesize and make

00:00:27

a decision on whether or not to

00:00:29

continue the recruitment process.

00:00:31

How can Microsoft's AI help me?

00:00:33

What prompts should I write?

00:00:35

How can I synthesize our exchanges?

00:00:38

In short, how can I save time

00:00:40

in debriefing a job interview?

00:00:42

After having activated the transcription

00:00:44

via the copilot button at the

00:00:46

start of the meeting, I can now,

00:00:48

since the interview is over,

00:00:49

analyse the content with the AI which

00:00:52

will help me and save precious time.

00:00:55

In the recap tab in Teams,

00:00:57

after clicking on the copilot icon,

00:00:59

I use the conversational panel to

00:01:02

start soliciting the assistant

00:01:04

with specific requests to begin.

00:01:06

copilot.

00:01:06

Can you refresh my memory about the

00:01:08

atmosphere during the interview?

00:01:10

Cordial, professional,

00:01:11

attentive,

00:01:11

with clear explanations and a sense

00:01:14

of trust in the candidate's words.

00:01:17

Copilot,

00:01:18

Can you now summarize Julie's qualities

00:01:20

that stood out during this interview?

00:01:23

Enthusiastic,

00:01:24

diverse,

00:01:24

appreciative of innovation

00:01:26

and aspiring leader,

00:01:29

Julie also knows how to manage her stress.

00:01:31

I want to revisit Julie's adaptability

00:01:33

concerning the industry of my company.

00:01:36

What can you tell me?

00:01:39

Quick learner, technically

00:01:40

adept and diversity valuing,

00:01:43

Julie is prepared to embrace industry

00:01:45

challenges and foster innovation

00:01:47

through her varied experiences.

00:01:49

However, she counts on our training

00:01:50

policy to be up to speed with

00:01:53

our products and customer needs.

00:01:54

It's noted that in Co Pilot's responses,

00:01:57

excerpts from the transcriptions used

00:01:59

are accessible via the numbered cards.

00:02:01

I would now like a list summary of

00:02:03

the qualities and faults expressed

00:02:04

by Julie when we discussed this

00:02:06

point during the interview.

00:02:08

Is it possible?

00:02:11

No worries, The synthesis is

00:02:13

generated in a structured list form.

00:02:16

As a recruiter,

00:02:17

I naturally have my own thoughts,

00:02:19

my feelings about how the

00:02:20

candidate's profile fits the job.

00:02:23

Let's ask copilot for its opinion.

00:02:26

Based on the discussion,

00:02:27

Julie appears to align

00:02:29

well with the position.

00:02:31

During the interview,

00:02:32

we discussed her future career

00:02:34

prospects and development.

00:02:35

What did we say again?

00:02:38

Ah yes, it was notably about a desired

00:02:41

progression to a managerial position,

00:02:43

but not before proving herself.

00:02:46

The prompts I expressed to copilot

00:02:48

are targeted and aim to facilitate

00:02:49

my overall vision of what was said,

00:02:52

both substantively and stylistically.

00:02:56

I can certainly use the prompts suggested

00:02:58

by Copilot as here where I want a summary.

00:03:03

However, I advise you to guide the

00:03:05

analysis by writing your requests

00:03:07

precisely as here where I want a summary

00:03:09

of Julie's professional experiences.

00:03:12

I see that copilot offers me the

00:03:13

chronology of the positions held with

00:03:15

a succinct summary related to the

00:03:17

industry or the mission assigned.

00:03:19

And then what should I do?

00:03:21

Are there action items?

00:03:24

Ah yes indeed.

00:03:24

I need to review all the candidates

00:03:26

and give a feedback to Julie to

00:03:28

conclude and with the view of

00:03:30

continuing the process with Julie.

00:03:32

Are there outstanding points or

00:03:34

unaddressed issues from this first

00:03:36

exchange that need clarification?

00:03:39

Yes, the topics of diversity and

00:03:41

specific challenges in the new role,

00:03:44

which ELLOE could address by explaining

00:03:46

the company's commitment to diversity

00:03:48

and providing more detailed information

00:03:50

on the challenges and support

00:03:52

strategies available for the role.

00:03:57

It's important to understand that Copilot

00:03:59

relies on the interview transcription.

00:04:02

The quality and precision of the

00:04:04

A is responses to my requests are

00:04:07

exclusively based on the quality and

00:04:09

content of my exchange with Julie.

00:04:11

The final decision will of course be

00:04:13

based on my personal recruiter intuition.

00:04:15

I use copilot to save time,

00:04:17

to avoid forgetting something.

00:04:19

In short, to make things easier.

00:04:21

With or without AI.

00:04:22

Julie made a good impression on me anyway.
