00:00:10

everyone and welcome to this tutorial about the importance

00:00:12

of prompts in the context of artificial intelligence.

00:00:15

The task is the central element, the core of the prompt.

00:00:19

It's the action we want the A I to perform

00:00:21

without a task. There's no response

00:00:24

to ensure a precise task. It's important to follow certain guidelines.

00:00:28

First define the task clearly. The A I can't read minds.

00:00:33

For example, if we ask,

00:00:35

write a not too long article about travel versus write a 500 word article

00:00:40

on the top five trending destinations in Europe for 2024 including the budget,

00:00:46

the difference in quality will be noticeable

00:00:48

tasks should also be broken down as finely as possible.

00:00:52

The A I performs better when doing one thing at a time.

00:00:55

If we were to explain to a colleague what to do in our absence,

00:00:58

it would be inconceivable to just say do my job.

00:01:02

Instead we would specify each task and activity to be performed.

00:01:06

It's the same for the A I.

00:01:07

If we wanted to work properly on the information we provide,

00:01:11

it can be important to clearly define the elements of the prompt.

00:01:14

For example, specifying something like correct the text within quotes,

00:01:18

ensures it works on the right element.

00:01:22

It's crucial to let the A I develop its responses.

00:01:26

For instance,

00:01:26

asking write me an information sheet in five points about

00:01:30

using A I at work will yield a decent result

00:01:33

but not as comprehensive as asking write me

00:01:36

a five point outline for an information sheet

00:01:39

about using A I at work and then asking it to develop each 0.1 by one.

00:01:45

Of course,

00:01:46

specifying the action the A I should take is

00:01:48

not enough to create the highest quality prompt.

00:01:51

The other elements that make up a good prompt will be covered in the upcoming videos.
