00:00:06

through simple prompts to sort philtre or even generate pivot tables.

00:00:11

Let me show you how it works.

00:00:14

By opening the copilot conversation pane,

00:00:16

I can start with a prompt like sort the salaries in

00:00:19

ascending order in a table displaying a list of employees.

00:00:23

It's simple, quick and efficient.

00:00:26

I can also make a manual request,

00:00:28

such as filtering data in a column based on a specific criterion.

00:00:33

For example, I can ask copilot to display only employees from London.

00:00:38

Next, I want to apply a cumulative philtre.

00:00:41

So I ask copilot to philtre based on

00:00:43

the status column showing only active employees.

00:00:47

This works perfectly as long as my criteria remain straightforward.

00:00:51

Now, within my active philtre,

00:00:54

I want to sort the data in descending order by the Age column.

00:00:58

Again,

00:00:59

Copilot executes the request effortlessly

00:01:03

to return to my unfiltered table.

00:01:05

I just need to prompt it by saying show all and the original data is restored.

00:01:11

For deeper analysis, I can request copilot to generate pivot tables.

00:01:16

It initially provides a general example but advises being more specific.

00:01:21

So let's refine the request.

00:01:23

I'll ask for an analysis showing payroll by gender, contract type and city.

00:01:29

Once copilot generates the proposal, I simply insert it into my sheet.

00:01:34

Keep in mind that any further modifications to

00:01:37

the pivot table must be done manually.

00:01:40

To make this even clearer, let's try a second example.

00:01:43

I'll request a count of employees by contract type, along with the average salary

00:01:49

as long as the request is clear and simple. Copilot delivers precise results,

00:01:54

making data analysis easier than ever with Microsoft copilot.
