Teams - Create, manage, and configure breakout rooms Tutorial

Open breakout rooms from the meeting control bar, where a rooms panel appears on the side. If rooms are prepped, you can see their status, assign participants to rooms, and use auto-distribution or manual placement. Start group work by saving assignments and opening rooms; participants move automatically or receive invitations. Add rooms mid-meeting, rename or delete them, and manage attendees. Use the three dots to join, rename, delete, or announce messages to all rooms, then leave rooms to return to the main meeting when ready.

00:01:36
announcing the time remaining,
00:01:38
or asking the group to prepare a response.
