Objectifs :

Chapitres :
-
Introduction to Slide Master Customization
In this section, we will explore the process of customizing the slide master by modifying master layouts. Understanding how to manage layouts effectively can enhance the overall design of your presentations. -
Managing Layouts
You may find that there are more layouts available than you actually need. To streamline your work, you can delete any unnecessary layouts by selecting them and pressing the Delete key. However, note that some default layouts cannot be deleted. If you find that you need a layout you previously deleted, you can easily insert a new slide master to create a blank master layout. From there, you can copy an original layout and paste it under your customized master, inheriting all the master attributes. -
Customizing Title and Section Header Layouts
The first two layouts we will customize are the title slide layout and the section header layout. To group these layouts together, we can move the section header layout up. For visual differentiation, we will apply a slightly different background to both layouts. In the Format Background pane, select 'Background Picture or Texture Fill' and choose a brighter image file. Additionally, we will change the title font color of the title slide layout to dark green and increase the subtitle font size to 32. For the section header layout, we will keep the title font color unchanged but will match the subtitle font color to the title slide. -
Reviewing Changes
After applying these changes, switch to normal view to see the updates. The title slide will now feature a brighter background, a new title color, and a larger subtitle. The section header slide will also reflect the new background and subtitle color. -
Reapplying Layouts
If you have made design changes to a slide in normal view, you will need to reapply the layout to see the updates. A useful keyboard shortcut to access slide master view is to press Shift while clicking the Normal button. -
Creating a New Layout
To create an original layout, navigate to the Slide Master tab and select the option to insert a blank layout. While starting from scratch is an option, we will duplicate an existing layout by pressing Ctrl + D. This new layout will be tailored for customer testimonials. Begin by deleting the picture placeholder and inserting a new placeholder for media content. Ensure that the placeholder is formatted correctly without bullets. -
Adding Text and Finalizing the Layout
Next, we will add a special heading above the video placeholder by drawing a text box labeled 'Testimonials.' To enhance visibility, we will apply a solid dark green fill to the text box and adjust the transparency. Change the text color to white for better contrast. Finally, right-click the layout to rename it to 'Testimonials' and apply the layout in normal view. -
Applying the New Layout
To utilize the new layout, insert a new slide under the testimonials section header. Select the testimonials layout, and the new slide will adopt this layout. You can now proceed to add your video and accompanying text.
